About Us
Founded in 2018, Globell Ellett Capital (GEC) has developed a low-risk market-neutral trading program. Our innovative strategy upends gamma/theta equilibrium, yielding a low-cost, efficient market hedge.
Our strategy benefits investors through capital market appreciation while minimizing associated downside risk.

Our founders draw upon forty-five years of trading experience across credits, equities, FX, derivatives and options.
Joachim Globell
Co-Founder & Partner
Mr. Globell’s career has included roles at Farallon Capital Management, Tisbury Capital Management, Amaranth Advisors UK. In recent years Mr. Globell has been the Managing Director of Trading for Octavian Advisers during their growth from $50m to over $1b in AUM. From Octavian, Mr. Globell was recruited by TLP Trading LLC, a Chicago-based Family Office, as Director of Trading.
Mr. Globell received a Bachelor of Arts from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and a MSc from Cass Business School in London.

David Ellett
Over a 20-year career as an options market maker at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade, Mr. Ellett has priced, traded, and managed billions of dollars in derivatives across agricultural, oil & gas, FX, equity and interest rate futures and options.

Mr. Ellett received a Bachelor of Arts, Honors from Kenyon College and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
